Italian Eagle’ Cruising North For Americade 2008
Moto Guzzi USA to Showcase its Expanding Line of Cruisers and Sport Tourers
At Annual Rally at New York’s Stunning Adirondack Park in June
NEW YORK – June 1, 2008 – Bringing authentic Italian touring to one of America’s most anticipated motorcycle gatherings, Moto Guzzi USA will welcome guests at the upcoming Americade annual rally with an array of events and attractions that celebrate the Italian brand’s heritage of styling and performance.
Taking place from June 2-7 at upstate New York’s stunning Adirondack Park, Americade gathers the motorcycle manufacturers from throughout the world for a weeklong motorcycle celebration. The event is also highlighted by an extensive schedule of activities, including a charity poker run, seminars and clinics and a trade show.
To commemorate this eagerly awaited celebration, Moto Guzzi will offer current and future Guzzi riders a first-hand opportunity to experience all the elements that have made the fabled Italian Eagle one of the world’s preeminent motorcycle touring brands for almost nine decades.
Highlights will include “Ride With Moto Guzzi USA” on the evening of June 5. This is an ideal opportunity for Moto Guzzi owners and friends to meet up and take a ride. The festivities will begin with a pre-ride barbeque at 5 p.m., followed by a tour around picturesque Lake George and a post-ride ice cream social at the Lake George Docks.
Throughout the course of Americade, Moto Guzzi will offer demo rides from its location at Lake George’s Roaring Brook Ranch. Heading the pack will be the top-selling Norge 1200 GT, the true personification of an Italian touring bike. This “Modern Gran Turismo,” which boasts an elegant and dynamic design in a short wheelbase, will be joined at the Guzzi display by two of its stable mates: the new-for-2008 Breva 1200 Sport, which blends the power and style of the signature Moto Guzzi transverse V-twin with advanced Italian styling; and the air-cooled, V-twin Breva 750, which has earned industry acclaim for its compact size, ergonomic riding position and easy handling characteristics.
To further entice Americade guests, Moto Guzzi USA is offering a $500 coupon for anyone who test-rides a Norge 1200 GT, Breva Sport or Breva 750. The coupon can be used towards the purchase of Moto Guzzi accessories or apparel during the purchase of an eligible new 2006, 2007 or 2008 Moto Guzzi during the 60 days immediately following the conclusion of Americade.
With Moto Guzzi staff on hand to provide insights into the legendary story of the Italian brand that Carlo Guzzi built as well as the latest motorcycles, the Moto Guzzi exhibit will be a must-do stop for anyone interested in motorcycles that prefer to log miles instead of just pose.
